My
Story:

My name is Ashiqur Rahman (Ash) Khan, a Communications Specialist with a brand and communications, PR and strategic Planning background with 8+ years of experience.

I am an engineering major who graduated from BRAC University with a minor in Anthropology. I have worked as a QC Officer in a German Start-up and later moved into ‘X’ – an integrated marketing solutions agency. I have worked with clients such as OTT Platform iFlix, Suzuki Motorbikes, Marico, Eastern Bank, Polar Ice Cream and many more. In late 2019, I became the first recruit in the Brand and Communications department of United Group, the mother company under which are 37 unique brands in multiple sectors such as power generation, healthcare, retail, real estate, manufacturing, technology, education, and community development.

Currently, I am working in Network Rail as communications manager for Oxfordshire Connect. Previously, I have worked with Network Rail North West & Central region focusing on regeneration and placemaking. Before that, I was a communications manager for NHS Birmingham and Solihull primary care network, focusing on internal communications, PR, web and digital communications and comms strategy.

My unique blend of skills enables me to connect the dots and find the most efficient solutions. I have an engineer’s analytical skills and an anthropologist’s contextual understanding. Working with various brands has prepared me to dig deep into the vast universe of data and information.

I am also an aspiring science fiction writer and translator.
